Vjosa Berisha has worked on many Public relations and media projects leading many successful commercial, political communication and public awareness campaigns for various clients including banking, airlines, hydropower and energy, IT, cultural institutions, embassies, Government, media, political parties and other institutions in Kosovo and Albania.

Vjosa was 49 years of age at the time of death. She attended Xhevdet Doda High School for her high school studies after finishing her elementary education. She completed her studies in contemporary diplomacy at the University of Malta from to Her mother reportedly looked after the home while her father reportedly worked at a nearby shop.

Berisha, meanwhile, has not made any mention of her siblings. She has, however, also posted images of herself with her nieces and nephews on social media. Vjosa was Yugoslavian by nationality and had Christianity as her faith. She also came from an ethnically diverse background. She was known for her passion for film, and support for young talents in Kosovo and the region.

Beyond her contributions to the film industry, she was an advocate for human rights, women's rights, and LGBTQ rights.
