Athmeeya Rajan, shortly called Athmeeya is a south Indian film actress who works in Malayalam and Tamil movies. She has been a seasonal actress for the past 6 years or so, and she made a great comeback through Malayalam super hit thriller, Joseph in Athmeeya Rajan hails from Kannur, Kerala. Becoming an actor had not been in her plans. She wished to do journalism or clinical psychology, nothing related to entertainment.

When her elder sister Athira went for B. Nursing, her mother sent Athmeeya too. Once film producer Seven Arts Mohan, a native of Kannur suggested her to try acting, she took it seriously. She got her first film offer while she was doing her nursing course. Yet she completed her course first. When her mind switched over to cinema, she decided to choose acting as full-time profession.
